A lot has happened since our last update – including the launch of our new webpage. With a refreshed design, it highlights some of our key offerings (like lead testing at miQro!). Scroll down to see what’s new at Capitainer – and where to find us this summer.
Speaking of expanding the content: Accurate and convenient lead testing for laboratories in the U.S.
Lead exposure remains a health concern in the U.S., and access to reliable testing is more important than ever.
💡At Capitainer, we offer two flexible options for laboratories:
– Already equipped? Our standardized microsampling card Capitainer B10 can be used as part of your existing workflow for remote sample collection.
– No in-house setup? We provide high-quality analysis through our U.S. lab, miQro Lab Solutions, based in Rhode Island and equipped with ICP-MS, LC-MS, and clinical chemistry platforms.
Both options enable accurate, patient-friendly lead testing – helping support early intervention and consistent care

New blog post: Why accessible TSH testing matters✨
Hypothyroidism is a common but often underdiagnosed condition that can lead to serious complications if left untreated. Symptoms like fatigue, weight gain, and cold intolerance are easy to overlook, especially in the early stages.
In our latest blog post, we break down how thyroid function works, how hypothyroidism develops, and why TSH testing is essential for early diagnosis. With awareness still low and millions affected worldwide, improving access to testing is more important than ever.
Spotlight on SEP10 – Supporting biomarker research
In the Swedish documentary series “Kim Kärnfalk – Jag lever”, researchers Dr. Amanda Heslegrave and Dr. Henrik Zetterberg (UCL and the UK Dementia Research Institute) highlight new tools being explored for earlier detection of Alzheimer’s disease – including Capitainer’s microsampling device SEP10.
In episode three, they highlight how home-based blood sampling using Capitainer’s technology combined with advanced proteomic platforms like Alamar Biosciences’ NULISA, may help identify disease-related biomarkers before symptoms appear.
This example illustrates how remote sampling can support cutting-edge research – and potentially bring future diagnostics closer to patients💙
