miQro Lab Solutions, an innovative Capitainer-driven laboratory in Rhode Island, serves as a U.S. center of excellence for application development and validation using Capitainer’s technology.

Equipped with ICP-MS for element analysis and access to advanced LC-MS and clinical chemistry platforms, the laboratory offers in-house microsampling expertise to help U.S. partners quickly implement Capitainer’s remote sampling devices.

miQro Lab Solutions is initially focused on mass spectrometry applications in exposomics, specifically Pb (lead) and other heavy metal screening such as Arsenic, Mercury, Cadmiums, etc. It also has a focus on metabolism including metabolic screening as well as Forensic toxicology specifically in the area of drugs of abuse and chronic alcohol testing. Each area will be phased in over 2025 with the first rollout of Pb testing.

The laboratory will expand to include clinical chemsitry platforms to do routine clinical testing such as HbA1c. All assays are established using CLIA guidelines. The laboratory will provide first-line services from new assays developed in our pipeline.

miQro Lab Solutions supports your lab with new microsampling assays that make accurate testing easier and more accessible. All new assays are validated in-house and can be offered to you as a clinical laboratory service. If you prefer, the protocols and know-how can also be shared so you can implement the same assays in your own accredited laboratory.

For selected assays, we also provide:

• ✔️ Support with result interpretation and informatics.

Our current development focuses on lead (Pb) and other heavy metals using ICP-MS, as well as small molecule analysis such as amino acids and acylcarnitines.Stable isotope standards are added at the sampling stage to ensure high precision and accurate results. We are always open to new collaborations to expand our microsampling pipeline together with you.

miQro Lab Solutions, together with Capitainer AB, offers product development and contract services using our microsampling technology.

Capitainer offers technology where we custom design and validate internal standards impregnated in the filter paper disc. We can also expand the technology to add other reagents such as stabilizers or inhibitors, based on the concept of the Capitainer®B10 Vanadate card, including a phospholipase D inhibitor.

In addition to product development, miQro offers validation contract laboratory services to run bridging studies that can assist in validation of liquid microsampling to the dried microsample format.
