Application Note
This application note describes a validated approach for measuring thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) from capillary blood collected using the Capitainer®B50 microsampling card.
The method is based on a clinical validation study that is currently under scientific review for publication and is designed to support laboratories implementing decentralized sampling workflows.
TSH is the primary biomarker used to diagnose and monitor thyroid dysfunction. Elevated TSH levels are associated with hypothyroidism, while suppressed levels indicate hyperthyroidism.
Using Capitainer®B50, the described method enables reliable home-based sampling with high analytical precision and strong agreement with traditional venous blood testing—supporting accurate TSH analysis beyond the clinic.
