Experiences with Capitainer Products

During the Covid-19 pandemic, ABC-Labs offered analysis of Covid-19 antibody levels on dried blood from self-sampling using the microsampling card developed by Capitainer. The sampling method was proven to both work well in home environments and be scalable during the pandemic. A microsampling card with clear simple to follow instructions was sent to the patient by regular post, the sample was then taken by the patient himself and the card was subsequently returned to the lab for analysis.

About ABC Labs

ABC Labs was founded as a response to the unprecedented challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, and grew quickly to become the largest pandemic lab in Sweden. Analysing 30,000 samples daily within a 24-hour response time, we partnered with the Public Health Agency to conduct testing for 17 regions, amounting up to 27% of all Swedish PCR tests.
