Experiences with Capitainer Products

A cooperation agreement was signed in March 2024 between Life Genomics and Capitainer. By partnering with Capitainer, Life Genomics broadens its range and offers multiple home-based testing options. This strategic partnership offers Capitainer additional opportunities to widely introduce new services leveraging the company’s self-sampling solutions.

The first of the new tests to be offered focuses on hypothyroidism, a condition characterized by a lack of thyroid hormone, detected by using the marker TSH. The potential to revolutionize hypothyroidism diagnostics through a simple blood draw is significant. Hypothyroidism is as frequent as diabetes in many parts of the world, yet it is frequently undiagnosed. Through self-sampling, Capitainer and Life Genomics aim to improve diagnostic accessibility, thereby improving life quality for those with thyroid health issues.

About Life Genomics

Life Genomics offers genetic tests to both private clinics and public healthcare. We are Sweden’s only private accredited NIPT-laboratory, accredited by Swedac for testing according to the ISO 15189 standard, with accreditation number 10441. The lab has been operating since 2014 and has carried out analyzes of fetal tests for tens of thousands of expectant parents. The lab uses instruments from Roche. A collaboration with us is based on mutual benefits for both parties. Your clinic takes care of the work close to the patient, and we take care of the clinical lab operations. When we have carried out the analysis, we send out an analysis report, where you again take care of the contact with the patient and convey the results. Fast, flexible and reliable.
