What’s New at Capitainer: SEP10 Shelf Life Extension, New Publication & ADLM 2026

From an extended shelf life for Capitainer®SEP10 and a new Swedish distribution partnership to patient-centric HbA1c insights, new publication findings, and upcoming ADLM participation — here are some of the latest updates from Capitainer.

🎉 Celebrating an Extended Shelf Life for Capitainer®SEP10 with 20% off

We are excited to announce that the shelf life of Capitainer®SEP10 has now been extended from 6 months to 9 months.

To celebrate this milestone, we are offering 20% off all SEP10 orders placed between July 1–17, 2026.

Capitainer®SEP10 enables decentralized plasma microsampling directly from capillary blood, without the need for centrifugation – supporting simplified sample collection, handling, and transport.

This extension marks the first step toward an even longer shelf life, with additional stability studies currently ongoing.

Offer period: July 1–17, 2026

Discount: 20% off Capitainer®SEP10

Offer cannot be combined with other promotions or discounts.

🤝 New Distribution Partnership with Triolab in Sweden

Capitainer has entered a distribution partnership with Triolab for the Swedish market, strengthening the company’s presence within Swedish healthcare and supporting the continued transition toward clinical implementation of decentralized sampling solutions.

Triolab’s experience in public procurement and established position within Swedish healthcare make them a natural partner for Capitainer, particularly as more projects move toward clinical implementation,” says Christopher Aulin, CEO of Capitainer.

Through the partnership, Triolab will offer Capitainer’s solutions for volumetric microsampling and self-sampling to laboratories and healthcare providers across Sweden.

🩸 New Blog Post: Rethinking HbA1c Monitoring for More Patient-Centered Care

Yesterday, we published a new blog article exploring how at-home blood sampling may support more patient-centered HbA1c monitoring.

In the article, we discuss:

  • Why regular HbA1c monitoring remains essential in diabetes care
  • How decentralized sampling can reduce barriers for patients
  • Challenges with conventional dried blood spot sampling
  • How Capitainer®B10 supports standardized volumetric microsampling
  • Published HbA1c data and findings from the independent SKUP evaluation

📖 New Publication Highlight: Patient-Centric Tacrolimus Monitoring Using Capitainer®

A recently published study evaluated the use of capillary finger-prick sampling and Capitainer® devices for therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) of tacrolimus and creatinine determination.

The publication highlights:

  • Strong clinical agreement between Capitainer® sampling and venous blood sampling
  • Feasibility of at-home sampling in allo-SCT patients
  • Positive patient feedback regarding device usability
  • The potential of decentralized sampling for improved longitudinal monitoring and individualized TDM workflows

The findings further support the growing role of patient-centric microsampling approaches in decentralized healthcare and remote monitoring.
