Capitainer® Sample Discs (48 discs / Sheet)
Description
The sample disc sheets contain the same pre-cut DBS material, cut to the same diameter as in Capitainer® sampling devices. The discs are laser cut with a small attachment to the sheet frame. Each individual disc is easily pushed through with a pair of tweezers or a clean pipette tip.
How to Use
The sample material is pipetted on to the sample disc and allowed to dry. Drying time varies with the atmospheric humidity and is typically between 3-9 hours. This creates a dried sample spot on a paper matrix which can then be used for laboratory evaluation and development work.
Notes
- The sample discs with pipetted sample should not be considered a complete matrix match to samples collected via Capitainer®
- The method to measure and apply sample to the discs may not match the accuracy and precision of the complete product.
- The indicated sample volume is the volume of the corresponding complete product, the total absorption capacity of the discs might be higher.
Capitainer® Drying pouch
Description
The Capitainer®Drying pouch is a paper based pouch designed to ensure good drying condiditions and sample card protection for shipment back to the laboratory. It is designed to fit all available Capitainer® sampling cards and has en easy to handle closing mechanism.
The druing pouch is designed to ensure efficient evaporation of the sample and therefore, it is also recommended to use a paper-based envelope for the shipment to ensure optimal drying conditions. It can of course also be combined with a desiccant if air-tight shipping is the preferred option.
